Erica is the CEO of FIMIC Srl, leading manufacturer and specialized supplier of automatic self-cleaning melt filtration technologies being the only one in the market with a range of five different models of automatic melt filters, capable to target highly contaminated plastics, especially post-industrial and post-consumer plastics, and a series of screw pump solutions that allow to easily transport post-consumer plastics melted by the extruder to the filter without using gears.

Erica has been at the forefront of transforming a family company into FIMIC, a global leader in plastics recycling. Since taking the helm in 2011, she has overseen the growth of FIMIC from a small operation with just two employees to a thriving enterprise with over 50 staff members. Her leadership has been instrumental in expanding the company’s reach and impact worldwide.

Erica’s journey began with a unique blend of interests in languages and business administration during high school, where she studied English, French, German, and Spanish, alongside financial and accounting subjects. Her academic path continued with a focus on law, but with only two exams remaining, she made a pivotal decision to join the family business and apply her skills in a practical setting.

Beyond her role at FIMIC, Erica is a passionate advocate for plastics recycling. She actively contributes to the European recyclers association's communication taskforce, founded AreyouR, and supports Women in Plastics. Additionally, she volunteers with the Italian Junior Achievement organization, reflecting her commitment to industry advancement and community service.
