Born in 1961, Olivier Vilcot is a graduate of École Centrale de Paris (1983, Mechanical Engineering). He began his career at Renault before joining Micronyl in 1986, a pioneer in PVC bottle recycling. Appointed Managing Director in 1996, he successfully led the company’s transition toward plastic powders for rotomoulding as the market evolved away from PVC packaging.
In 2012, he joined SUEZ as Managing Director of Plastic Recycling in France, later expanding his leadership to the European level as Director of Quality Circular Polymers (QCP) in the Netherlands (2018–2021), promoting high-quality circular polymers across Europe.
A committed advocate for the recycling industry, he served as Managing Director of the French National Association of Plastic Recyclers (SRP) from 2022 to 2024 and was honored as Plastic Recycling Ambassador of the Year 2025 at the Plastics Recycling Awards Europe.
Now retired, Olivier continues to contribute to the circular economy through consulting
and technical advisory missions for key players in the plastics and recycling sectors
