With a background in Marketing and Sales at the University of Vienna, during her early years as professional she worked in Spain and South Korea and later in the field of Marketing and Communications at Philips as well as mobilkom, Austria’s leading mobile service provider.
Dorothea finally took over the role as Head of Marketing at Fronius, an Austrian Solar Electronics company before joining Borealis AG in 2008.
In 2012, Dorothea took over the role of Sustainability Manager in the Strategy & Group Development Department building the company’s Sustainability and CSR Strategy. Amongst others, Dorothea is responsible for the company’s Sustainability Reporting and the Borealis Social Fund including the CSR programme “Water for the World”. In 2017, Dorothea initiated and developed the pioneering initiative Project STOP to address plastic marine litter prevention and drive circular economy in South-East Asia.
